Originally developed by a team of rogue bass scientists in rural and mystical parts of Oklahoma, CHAD CATLETT was weaned on a steady diet of great 80's bass players... John Taylor, Sting, Bruce Thomas... et al. Later, with the blessings of his mentors, he delved into the classical stylings of 70's greats... John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney, Geezer Butler and even (over the stern warnings of his advisors) the bass contributions from Steely Dan recordings. Over time he felt his need to realize a special purpose. Feeling ready for his release into the world, he soon sought refuge in the musically volatile confines of Los Angeles in 2002. His next 2 years, although bassfully enriching, proved musically unfulfilling to this 4-string expatriate. Beginning to feel he would never achieve the grand designs of his conceivers, he soon had a chance meeting with bass destiny.
